Tata Harrier EV Revealed At Auto Expo 2023

  • It will be based on the brand’s Gen 2 EV platform as the Tata Curvv.
  • Will come with all-wheel drive capabilities.
  • Technical details are scarce at the moment.
  • The launch timeline is yet to be revealed.

Indian electric mobility is gaining traction, and Tata Motors is leading the way. Continuing its momentum in this space, the carmaker is now up for some new products, including the electric versions of the Harrier mid-size SUV. The carmaker has recently showcased it in a near-production version at the Auto Expo 2023.

Unlike its ICE version which underpins the OMEGA architecture, the Tata Harrier electric will be based on the brand’s Gen 2 EV platform. While the technical details are yet to be revealed, it is expected to run approximately 500 kilometres on a single charge. Tata states that the Harrier EV will get a dual-electric motor setup, thus making it the first Tata car in its current lineup to offer AWD capabilities. It should also come with fast charging capabilities.
