Toyota Innova Crysta Diesel To Make A Comeback

Soon after unveiling of the Innova Hycross, Toyota removed the previous-gen Innova Crysta from its official website. But now reports are suggesting that it will be relaunched in a toned-down version for both private and fleet operators. Plus, it would be a diesel-only model.

Before discontinuation, the Innova Crysta was offered in five variants – G, G+, GX, VX and ZX. However, its revived version will be available in lower grades only, likely in the G, G+ and GX variants. It will also drop its 166PS 2.7-litre petrol engine, which had a peak output of 166PS and 245Nm. Only its 2.4-litre diesel engine (150PS/ up to 360Nm) will be on offer, probably only with the 5-speed manual transmission.

As for features, the 16-inch alloy wheels, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, tile & telescopic steering, power window, height adjustable driver’s seat, manual AC with dedicated rear AC vents, rear defogger, rear wiper & washer, fabric seats, rear armrests, power adjustable ORVMs, Vehicle Stability control, hill start assist, etc., are likely to remain on offer.

Toyota Innova Crysta Diesel Prices

Expect the rejuvenated version of the Toyota Innova Crysta diesel to range between Rs 18-20 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it as an alternative to the new Innova Hycross’s hybrid variant.
