Tata Tiago EV Bookings Cross Over 20,000 Mark; Waiting Period Detailed

Tiago EV, the latest electric vehicle in Tata’s lineup has managed to clock more than 20,000 bookings since the company opened the reservation window in October 2022. It can be considered a remarkable feat for the homegrown carmaker as the EV market is currently in its development stage in India.

The tremendous demand for the Tata Tiago EV has resulted in a huge waiting period ahead of the commencement of its deliveries in January 2023. Having said that, currently, the Tiago EV is commanding a waiting period of between 2 to 4 months in major metropolitan cities, like Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Ghaziabad, Coimbatore and more. So if you too are planning to buy the Tiago EV, get ready to wait before you can take home one. Also, you may have to pay a little extra as its launch price (Rs 8.49 – 11.79 lakh) was valid till the first 10,000 bookings.

For those who aren’t aware, the Tata Tiago EV comes in two battery pack options: 19.2kWh and 24kWh. Mated to a front-axle mounted permanent magnet synchronous electric motor (rated at 61PS/105Nm), the smaller battery claims an MIDC range of 250km on a single charger, whereas the latter with a 75PS/114Nm electric motor offers a range of 315km. It also gets two drive modes (City & Eco) and multi-level regenerative braking.
