Toyota Innova HyCross (Hybrid) Likely To Feature ADAS Suite

We all know that Toyota is working on a new Innova HyCross Strong-Hybrid MPV that is expected to make its global debut soon. As per the reports, the pristine Innova will be called the “Innova Zenix” in Indonesia and will likely go on sale early next year. Recently, the upcoming MPV caught in lenses, providing more information about its cabin design and several high-end features.

New Interior and Features

Going by the latest spy shots, the new Toyota Innova Zenix/Hycross will feature an all-new dashboard design with a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system dominating the centre console. Reports also suggest that it will get soft-touch padding on the dash for added appeal. Additionally, it will also welcome bunches of new comfort, convenience & safety features, such as a fully digital instrument cluster, an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, a powered tailgate, electronic parking brakes, flat flooring for more space, an “ottoman function” for the captain seats in 2nd row, and most importantly the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) suite, packed with advanced active driving assistance safety features, such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Assist, Road Sign Assist, Proactive Driving Assist and Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection.

Monocoque Frame and Expected Dimensions

Instead of the ongoing ladder frame, the new Toyota Innova HyCross will likely underpin a monocoque chassis. Dimension-wise, the new Toyota Innova Hycross will be approximately 4.7 meters long with a wheelbase of around 2,850mm, making it slightly longer than the ongoing Innova Crysta.

Petrol Hybrid Engines, FWD Setup

The Toyota Innova HyCross is expected to come with two petrol engine options: a 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre, both paired with a strong-hybrid self-charging system. There will be no diesel engine on offer. Also, it will come in a front-wheel drive configuration instead of the ongoing rear-wheel drive setup.
