  • The sunroof-equipped Tata Safari is now more affordable.
  • Undercuts the XT+ variant by Rs 1,13,400.

Soon after adding new & more affordable sunroof-equipped XMS and XMAS variants in the Harrier’s lineup, Tata Motors has now given the same treatment to its elder sibling, the Safari. The Tata Safari XMS variant costs Rs 17,96,500, while its automatic XMAS trim is priced at Rs 19,26,500 (both prices, ex-showroom). Earlier, the sunroof was available from the XT+ variant onwards.

Similar to the Tata Harrier, the Safari XMS/XMAS variants also come equipped with a panoramic sunroof, making them the most affordable trims of the flagship SUV to get such a feature. These variants also come loaded with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 8 speakers, steering mounted control, automatic projector headlamps with follow-me-home function, dual function DRLs with turn indicators, front fog lamps, rain-sensing wipers, power adjustable & foldable ORVMs, height adjustable driver’s seat, AC vents for all three rows, multiple-driving modes (Eco, City & Sport), etc.

Passengers’ safety will be ensured by dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic stability control, rear parking sensors with a camera, roll-over mitigation, corner stability control, and much more.

Compared to the XT / XT+ variant, it misses out on the soft touch finish on the dashboard, cruise control, automatic climate control, alloy wheels, push-button start, tire pressure monitoring system, lumbar support for the driver’s seat, mood lighting, rear armrest with cup holders, iRA connected car tech and air purifier.
