Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Is Now More Safer; Prices Increased

  • Safety features like ESC and hill hold assist are now standard.
  • Prices have gone up by Rs 6,000.

Two new safety features have been added to Maruti Suzuki’s highly popular Ertiga MPV, thereby enhancing the safety quotient of the vehicle. The carmaker has now made the electronic stability control (ESC) and hill hold assist standard across Ertiga’s variant lineup. Earlier, both these features were restricted to its top-spec ZXi+ variant only.

With the increase in safety features, Maruti Suzuki has also raised the asking rates of the people mover by up to Rs 6,000. That said, the prices of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga now start from Rs 8.41 lakh (ex-showroom).

Aside from revising the price and safety features list, the MPV remains unchanged. It will continue to be available in four variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+.

Powering the Maruri Suzuki Ertiga is the recently introduced 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, Dual Jet Dual VVT petrol engine that makes 103PS of maximum power and 137Nm of peak torque. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
