Skoda Kushaq Style Gets Digital Driver’s Display, Push Start/Stop Is Now Standard

On a positive note, Skoda has once again revised the features list of the Kushaq SUV. Unlike the last time when the infotainment was downsized, this time the SUV gets an 8-inch digital driver’s display with the top-spec Style variant. This is the same unit as the Skoda Slavia and Kushaq’s Monte Carlo edition. Apart from the new instrument cluster, Skoda has also standardized the push engine start/stop button across all the variants of the Kushaq.

Last month, Skoda also introduced a new non-sunroof equppied Style variant (Style NSR) of the Skoda Kushaq with a 1.0-litre TSI engine, making it Rs 20,000 more affordable than the sunroof-equipped Style 1.0-litre TSI manual variant. You can read more about it here.

Currently, Skoda offers the Kushaq in five variants: Active, Ambition Classic, Ambition, Style NSR, and Style – priced between Rs 11.29 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom). There’s also the Monte Carlo edition, which is based on the range-topping Style trim.

As for mechanicals, the Kushaq comes with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol (115PS/178Nm) and the 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol units (150PS/250Nm), both paired to a 6-speed manual as standard. The former also gets an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, while the 1.5-liter mill is nourished with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT) choice.

In the Indian market, the Skoda Kuhsaq rivals the likes of Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, and the upcoming Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Vitara.
