Toyota Hyryder Front Design Revealed; Official Unveil Likely On July 1

  • Toyota Hyryder is likely to be revealed on July 1.
  • Bears “Urban Cruiser” prefix in its name.

  • Will be powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine, with both mild and strong hybrid system options.

The front design of the upcoming Toyota Hyryder mid-size SUV has been revealed through a leaked image clicked during its commercial ad shoot. This Seltos-rivaling SUV is likely to be officially displayed on July 1st.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder – Design

The new Toyota Hyryder looks tough and rugged with sharp creases and a chunky-looking large air dam. It has a split lighting setup, and Toyota Glanza-like youthful smiley grille with a chrome strip linking the two LED DRLs. Interestingly, the SUV has an ‘Urban Cruiser’ prefix in its name.

Powertrain and Expected Price

As revealed earlier, the Toyota Hyryder will get a 1.5-liter petrol engine, both with mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid technology options. While a front-wheel-drivetrain (FWD) will be standard across the lineup, the mild-hybrid unit could also come with an optional All-Wheel-Drivetrain (AWD). Expect Toyota to price the new Hyryder SUV from around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom), pitting them against the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, Nissan Kicks, and Volkswagen Taigun. Maruti Suzuki is also expected to unveil the YFG SUV (codename; Hyryder-equivalent) shortly after the market debut of Hyryder.
