Pre-Launch Bookings Now Open For BMW G 310 RR

BMW Motorrad has started accepting pre-launch bookings for its upcoming Supersports bike, the G 310 RR, online and at its authorized dealerships. The bike is scheduled to be launched in July 2022.

For those who arenโ€™t aware, the BMW G 310 RR will be based on the TVS Apache RR 310. That said, it shares the same engine and underpinnings with its TVS equivalent. In fact, the latest teaser images also suggest that it will look largely similar to the Apache RR 310, featuring the same body works and lighting system. But interestingly, it will be obtaining the fully-adjustable suspension from the TVS Apache RR 310 BTO as standard that offer adjustment of preload, rebound, and compression damping. This is something that is missing on the recently updated KTM RC 390.

The other notable features of the upcoming little sportbike will include clip-on handlebars from RR 310 BTOโ€™s Race kit, Glide Through Technology Plus (GTTP) system, BYBRE braking system with dual-channel ABS, multiple riding modes (Rain, Urban, Sport, Track), and a 5.5-inch colored TFT display with traits like Bluetooth connectivity, post-ride analytics, engine temperature with RPM parameters, turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle health information, vehicle status, gear shift assist indicator, and more. Additionally, the Bavarian automaker could offer a variety of accessories and customization options with the bike.

At the heart of the upcoming BMW G 310 RR will be the same 313cc single-cylinder motor as the Apache RR 310 that makes out 34PS at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission with an assist-&-slipper clutch.

Expect the G 310 RR to command a significant premium over its TVS counterpart that currently retails at Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom). In addition to its donor model, it will compete against the Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC 390 and a bunch of other bikes.
