2022 TVS iQube Electric Scooter Launched – 10 Colors, 3 Variants and Improved Range

TVS Motors has launched the updated iteration of the iQube electric scooter for 2022, which has more range, get new color options, and an updated set of features. The brand has offered the EV in three variants: iQube, iQube S, and iQube ST.

TVS has stated that the new-gen iQube will now be available in 85 cities across the nation. Bookings for the starting two variants are now open, whereas the range-topping ST trim can be pre-booked for Rs 999. Deliveries of e-scooter will begin immediately in the existing 33 cities.

2022 TVS iQube – What’s New?

Bigger Battery and Improved Performance

For starters, the 2022 TVS iQube gets an all-new IP67-rated battery pack (comprising 21700 li-ion cells) placed below the floor panel. The motor, however, is the same 4.4kW hub-mounted BLDC motor. It also gets an updated Battery Management System (BMS) and has improved thermal efficiency. All these changes have resulted in better acceleration and enhanced real-world range.

TVS is offering a new 650W portable home charger with the upgraded iQube that can juice it up from 0 to 80 percent in less than 5 hours.

Additional Features

In terms of features, the upgraded iQube electric scooter packs a bunch of new features such as an idle mode for optimum range, fast charging capability, up to 32 liters of boot space, and a new 7-inch touchscreen TFT rider’s display (base trim gets a 5-inch non-touchscreen unit) with an updated user interface, multiple color options (changeable), and a joystick to control the screen.

It also gets an updated connected vehicle suite (SmartXonnect) that comprises features like SMS/call/social media notifications, navigation, vehicle health checkup, service alert, location tracking, geo-fencing, ability to store emergency contact numbers, incognito mode for privacy, anti-theft alert, crash alert and much more. Customers can also know the status of their scooters from the comfort of their homes through their Alexa smart devices.

Besides, features like an LED lighting system, multiple riding modes, reverse mode, USB mobile charging port, regen braking, and boot light have also been retained from the previous model.
