We are just 9 days down, and we have seen the arrival of the upgraded Kia Seltos, Sonet, and Tata EV concept. But the saga doesn’t end here, as there are going to be a few more stellar launches and unveilings in the coming weeks. Without further ado, here’s a look at the cars that are expected to launch/unveil in April 2022: –
Maruti Suzuki Etriga and XL6 Facelift
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and XL6, both the Nexa and Arena siblings, are said to receive a facelift update in the upcoming days, with minor changes to the front fascia in each vehicle. However, the biggest change comes with the introduction of a new 1.5-liter DualJet petrol engine, paired with a new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox replacing the old and honestly out-dates 4-speed automatic.
Tata Nexon EV Facelift
Tata Motors is all set to launch the long-range version of the Nexon EV on April 20 with a bigger battery pack and improved drive range. It is expected to be sold alongside the existing Nexon EV so that a wider section of the customers can be targeted. Click here for more details.
Mysterious Tata Car

Honda City Hybrid
Recently showcased at the Thailand Motor Show, the Japanese carmaker confirms the arrival of the Honda City Hybrid on April 14. It features a 1.5-liter petrol engine, paired with two electric motors, one which will enable it to drive as a pure EV and the other acts as a starter motor. At an expected price of Rs 17 lakhs, the Honda City eHEV will be the country’s most affordable strong hybrid offering.
Maruti Baleno CNG
Maruti Suzuki has recently updated the Baleno with a revised design, new features, and updated powertrains. And now, the company is gearing up to introduce it with a factory-fitted CNG engine option that is likely to produce 77PS and 98.5Nm in CNG mode and could offer a claimed mileage of 31.12km/kg.
BMW i4
The all-electric version of the BMW 4-series Gran Coupe, the i4, is set to hit our shores on April 28. Globally, the electric sedan comes in two variants: eDrive40 and M50. While the former gets a 340PS/430Nm single motor (mounted on the rear axle), the M50 utilizes a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup that delivers 544PS and 795Nm. Interestingly, both models get the same 83.9kWh battery pack that offers a driving range of up to 590km on a single charge.
