Launched on August 15, Ola Electric took a very long time to start the deliveries of the Ola e-scooter. Earlier, its deliveries and purchase window were closed several times due to various reasons. Now, as per the recent developments, Ola electric is expected to open the second round of purchase window in January 2021. You can read in-depth about Ola scooters' buying procedure, delivery, insurance, service, and warranty details here.

Currently, the Ola S1 and S1 Pro cost Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom including FAME II subsidy), respectively. The price further drops once you opt all the subsidies and incentives provided by various state governments. Both the S1 and S1 Pro come with a 5.5kW mid-drive Internal Permanent Magnet (IPM) motor that delivers a maximum power output of 8.5kW and a peak torque of 58Nm. If you are wondering what is the difference between these two variants, it is in their battery pack and performance figures. That said, the entry-level S1 trim comes with a 2.98kWh battery pack with an ARAI tested claimed range of 121 kilometers, whereas the S1 Pro uses a 3.97 kWh battery that delivers a maximum range of 181 kilometers on a single charge.

The Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters compete against the Ather 450X, Ather 450 Plus, TVS iQube Electric, Bajaj Chetak, and Simple One.
