Tata Punch Waiting Period Stretches Up To 8 Months

Tata Motors launched its first-ever micro-SUV, the Punch, on October 18th in the Indian market. It currently retails from Rs 5.49 lakh to Rs 9.09 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Deliveries of the car have already begun across the nation with merely no waiting period on pre-booked units. However, soon after delivering the initial lot of the SUV, the waiting period has started rising and it is now up to 8 months (depending on the variant). So, if you are also planning to buy one, here’s how long you will have to wait to get your hands on your car: –

As the above table indicates, the top-spec Creative variant of Tata Punch has the least waiting period of up to 8 weeks (56 days), whereas its base-spec Pure trim commands a maximum waiting duration of up to 36 weeks (252 days). However, it is worth noting that these are just tentative waiting timelines and could vary depending on your city/state.

The Tata Punch is a 5-seater micro-SUV that is powered by a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that dishes out 86PS and 113Nm, mated to 5-speed manual and AMT transmissions. It is claimed to deliver 18.97kmpl with manual and 18.82kmpl with AMT unit. Tata is expected to offer a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine with the Punch in early 2022
