Toyota Innova Crysta To Get Expensive From August 1

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced to increase prices of its best-selling Innova Crysta MPV by 2% from August 1, 2021. The Japanese automaker has attributed the increase in overall input cost to the upcoming price hike.

Toyota India has given the Innova Crysta a mid-life facelift update in November month last year, which had led to a hike of up to Rs 70,000 over the pre-facelift model. Later, in April 2021, the MPV had gotten dearer by Rs 26,000. This time around, the prices of the country's most preferred premium people mover could be increased by around Rs 33,000. 

Currently, the Innova Crysta facelift is available in two seating configurations (7- and 8-seater) across three variants: GX, VX and ZX. It can be had with either a 2.4-litre diesel (150PS/360Nm) or a 2.7-litre petrol engine (166PS/245Nm). Both mills are offered with a 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions, driving the rear wheels of the car.

The Innova Crysta offers features like LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, dual-tone alloy wheels, keyless entry with push-button start, an 8-inch touchscreen Smart Playcast infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, a coloured multi-info display, Camel Tan coloured leather seats, powered driver’s seat, rear AC vents, and more. Customers can also get connectivity features such as real-time vehicle tracking, last parked location, geofencing, etc., as optional accessories. 

Its list of safety features includes seven airbags, ABS with EBD, front & rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, traction control, electronic stability control, Vehicle Stability Control, and hill start assist.

While Toyota Innova Crysta doesn't have any direct rival in the Indian market, it could be seen as an alternative to the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV500, and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700.
