2021 Tata Tiago NRG Starts Reaching Dealerships Ahead Of August 4 Launch

The upcoming facelifted Tata Tiago NRG has started reaching dealerships ahead of its launch on August 4, 2021. It is essentially a rugged version of the Tiago hatchback, which was temporarily discontinued last year. Now, it is set to be reintroduced, albeit in a facelifted avatar. Select dealerships have also started its unofficial bookings for a token amount of Rs 11,000.

As part of its update, the cross-hatch has received several aesthetical tweaks both on the inside and outside, along with a bunch of new features. The recent spied model suggests that the new Tiago NRG now features a refreshed front grille, restyled headlamp, new alloy wheels, and reworked bumpers at both ends with prominent black-cladding and silver skid plates. A new Camo Green color is also on the list.

Besides, it continues to get squared wheel arches, roof rails, and blacked-out treatment for the roof and ORVMs.

Inside, the crossover gets an all-black treatment with silver accents for a pleasant appeal. The dashboard is dominated by a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit which is expected to feature Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration support. It also gets a new flat-bottom steering wheel with audio & telephony controls, a digital instrument cluster, push engine start/stop button, and a rear parking camera. Apart from this, it continues to retain features like manual air-conditioning, electrically adjustable ORVMs, all-power windows, and more.

The Tata Tiago NRG will be powered by the same 86PS/113Nm 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine as the regular Tiago, paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT unit.
