Bajaj Chetak Online Bookings Resumed For Pune And Bangalore

After introducing Chetak electric scooter in three new cities: Aurangabad, Mysore, and Mangalore, Bajaj has now resumed its online bookings for customers of Pune and Bengaluru. Interested customers can book the e-scooter via the brand's official website for a token amount of Rs 2,000.

Bajaj Chetak price in India

For those who aren't aware, Bajaj offers the electrified Chetak scooter in two variants: Premium and Urbane, priced at Rs 1,44,987 and Rs 1,42,988 (ex-showroom), respectively. Unfortunately, Chetak is not getting FAME-II subsidy yet, which makes it quite expensive than its core competitors like Ather 450X, and TVS iQube. Even the Revolt RV400 electric motorcycle is more affordable than the Bajaj Chetak. However, the brand is working on the indigenisation of the Chetak, and once it meets all the standards of the FAME-II scheme, the brand will be able to bring down its prices significantly. That is why we would advise you to avoid buying it till its prices come down. Also, the waiting period on the Bajaj scooter is a bit long.

Bajaj Chetak Specifications and Features

Powering the Bajaj Chetak is a 4kW BLDC motor that puts out a maximum torque of 16Nm. It comes with two riding modes: Eco and Sport, which offer a real-world range of 95km and 85km, respectively. It also gets a reverse mode. It takes up to 5 hours to fully charge via a traditional 5A power socket.

  • LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity
  • Connected features like geo-tagging, geofencing, turn-by-turn navigation assist, scooter's location tracking, theft alerts, charge status, etc.
  • Keyless ignition

Bajaj Chetak range

Bajaj offers a 3-year or 50,000km warranty on the Chetak and its Lithium-ion battery. Its battery life is claimed to last for 70,000 kilometers which usually takes 7 years, provided the user ensures the lithium-ion battery is kept charged above 15% of capacity and used regularly.
