Jawa Motorcycles Get Expensive, Standard Jawa And Forty-Two Receive Few Updates

On the occasion of the 19th International Jawa Day, Classic Legends has updated the standard Jawa and Jawa Forty-Two with some mechanical and cosmetical tweaks. Both the motorcycles have received an uprated 293cc single-cylinder engine that now produces a maximum output of 27.33PS/27.02Nm, 0.82PS/0.03Nm more than before. This is the same engine that was first seen on the 42 2.1. Besides, the bikes also receive an improved seat pan, a firmer suspension tune, a deeper exhaust note, and a trip meter.

The brand has also introduced two new colors: Khaki and Midnight Grey, for the dual-channel ABS variant of standard Jawa. These new hues are said to be introduced to mark the 50 years of the 1971 War Victory over Pakistan by paying homage to the heroes of the 1971 war.

These special color variants feature blacked-out mechanicals, tricolor pinstripes on the fuel tank along with the Indian Army’s insignia and a laurel wreath commemorating the Indian army’s victory in 1971 war. Jawa claims that it's the first manufacturer that has been permitted to do so on a production bike.
