Mahindra Bolero Neo AKA Facelifted TUV300 Launch Timeline Revealed

Mahindra is all set to bring back the TUV300 body-on-frame SUV, albeit in a facelifted avatar. It will be known as Bolero Neo and will be launched by September 2021. For those people who aren't aware, the TUV300 was discontinued in April month last year during the BS6 transition phase.

While there are still some months left in its launch, the exterior design of the SUV has already been revealed, thanks to the numerous spy shots. The facelifted TUV300 will remain largely unchanged save for some cosmetical changes, especially at the front. It will get a new front facia, featuring a refreshed chrome-slatted grille flanked by redesigned halogen headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps. It also features a slightly revamped bonnet and a more rugged front bumper. Changes at the rear are limited to the revised tail lamps. Besides that, it continues to feature the same bits as the previous model while maintaining its bold style.

The interior of the new TUV300 is yet to be seen; however, it is likely to get a new touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay & Android Auto smartphone integration support, automatic climate control, and cruise control. Passenger safety is expected to be taken care of by dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and rear parking sensors with reverse camera.

No major changes are expected beneath the bonnet, except for updating its older 100PS 1.5-liter engine with the ongoing BS6 emission norms. Besides, the engine could also get an AMT transmission option alongside the 5-speed manual gearbox.

2021 Mahindra TUV300 launch date

The Mahindra Bolero Neo will be placed between the standard Bolero and XUV300 diesel in Mahindra’s current product lineup and could be priced from Rs 8.5 lakh to Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
