2021 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Deliveries Begin In India

Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Kawasaki has begun deliveries of Ninja 300 in India which was launched back in March 2021 at an introductory Rs 3.18 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested, customers can book the sports bike via the brand’s website or at their nearest dealership. Moreover, buyers can also make their booking on Amazon as well using an Amazon voucher of Rs 3,000 at Kawasaki dealerships.

Powering the Ninja 300 is the same 296cc, parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor as its previous model that develops 39PS of max power at 11,000rpm and 26.1Nm of peak torque at 10,000rpm. While the power output of the bike remains unchanged in the BS6 era, the twisting force went down by 0.9Nm from 27Nm. The engine continues to comes paired with a 6-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch.

Besides the engine, the feature list and the underpinnings of the motorcycle also remain unchanged. It continues to be based on the same high-tensile diamond frame, suspended on a 37mm telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The Endurance-sourced 290mm (front) & 220mm (rear) disc braking setup of the bike hasn’t changed either. However, the seat height of the bike has been lowered by 5mm, whereas the ground clearance has been increased by a similar margin.

Kawasaki offers the BS6 Ninja 300 in three color options – Lime Green, Candy Green, and Ebony. The notable features of the bike include halogen headlamps, LED tail lamps, semi-digital instrument clusters, aluminum footpegs, dual-channel antilock braking system, and MRF Nylogrip Zappers tires, etc. It would have been better if the brand had equipped the motorcycle with an LED headlamp and a smartphone-compatible instrumentation console.

At Rs 3.18 lakh, the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja is a costly affair as its core rival TVS Apache RR 310 (Rs 2.49 lakh) is approximately Rs 60,000 less expensive. Even the more powerful KTM RC 390 is priced at just Rs 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
