BMW X3 Facelift Images Leaked Ahead Of Official Unveil

BMW is gearing up to reveal the X3 facelift in the coming days. But ahead of the official unveil, its images have been surfaced online, exposing the design details of the updated SUV.

2021 BMW X3 Facelift launch date

The images reveal the differentiating factors between the pre-facelift & facelift versions. The upcoming X3 gets a revised front fascia with an updated kidney grille, which now joints together at the center. The headlamp design of the new X3 seems sharper with a dark shade. Bavarian Motors has also updated the front bumper design and it looks quite sporty thanks to the blacked-out angular air dam and fog lamp housing.

While the side profile of the SUV remains largely unchanged (save for a different design for the alloy wheels), the rear gets a reworked taillamp with a dark tint and an updated bumper with glossy black treatment & dual exhaust tips at both ends.

The interior of the car is yet to be seen. But it is likely to get minor changes along with a host of new features, including an updated infotainment system and new upholstery. Besides, the upcoming BMW X3 will continue to get the existing set of features that mainly includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system, memory function for front seats, 3-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and much more.

While the technical specifications of the car are still under the wraps, it is expected to retain the existing petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid options. However, in India, the X3 is only available with two engine options: a 2.0-liter petrol (252PS/350Nm) and a 2.0-liter diesel (190PS/400N). Both engines come paired with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox.

The new BMW X3 SUV is expected to be launched globally in the coming months, but its India launch has still some time left. It is likely to arrive here by the end of this year with a significant price premium over the existing model, which retails from Rs 56.50 lakh to 62.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Once introduced, the 2021 BMW X3 will continue to take on the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, Lexus NX, Land Rover Evoque, and Jaguar F-Pace
