Top 10 Most Selling SUVs Of April 2021: Hyundai Creta Continues Its Dominance

The subcompact, compact & mid-sized SUV segments are most in demand for the past several years. That's the reason why every carmaker is striving towards these categories. Soon Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun will also mark their presence in the compact SUV class, however, it won't be easy for them to withstand against the Hyundai Creta, which is consistently dominating the segment. While there is a long list of utility vehicles in these categories, only a few of them are savouring significant figures. Let’s take a look at the top 10 SUVs that has attracted the most numbers of buyers in April 2021: –

  • Despite a minor decline in Month-on-Month sales, the Hyundai Creta managed to become the most popular SUV in April 2021. 
  • Hyundai’s subcompact SUV, Venue was the most popular sub-4-meter SUV last month, beating the Maruti Vitara Brezza by just 25 units.

  • The 4th and 5th places on the list were captured by Kia SUVs, witnessing an MoM decline of up to 23.4% against the March 2021 sales.
  • Tata Nexon is the third best-selling sub-compact SUV, ranking sixth in the top 10 cumulative SUV sales charts.
  • While most of the SUVs have registered negative growth last month, all the Mahindra SUVs in the 10 list have registered a magnificent jump when compared to the March 2021 sales figures. The second-generation Mahindra Thar has witnessed the highest MoM growth, followed by XUV300 and Scorpio. 
  • The newly launched Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger remain out of the list, the aging Ford EcoSport still doing quite well and succeeded to be the eighth best-selling SUV in the country. 
  • None of the mid-sized SUVs made it to the top 10 list.
