After being out of action for nearly a year, CFMoto is gearing up to make a comeback in India. The Chinese manufacturer will soon introduce the BS6-compliant 650NK naked motorcycle in the country. Recently, the brand has teased the updated motorcycle on its social media platform. It is expected to be launched in the next month.
As per the gathered information, the CFMoto will only update the 650NK's 649.3cc 2-cylinder 8-valve liquid-cooled engine to meet the stricter BS6 emission norms. With this, we don't expect any significant drop in the engine's output. For reference, the BS4 CFMoto 650NK is used to generate a maximum output of 61.18PS and 56Nm. The engine will continue to come with a 6-speed transmission.
CFMoto is unlikely to make any major changes concerning the underpinning of the bike. That said, it will continue to feature a conventional KYB telescopic fork at the front and a cantilever-type rear monoshock. The braking duties will be taken care of by dual petal discs upfront with J.Juan dual-piston calipers and a single rear disc.
In terms of styling and features, the 650NK streetfighter is expected to retain all the features of the previous model that mainly includes a full LED lighting system, adjustable levers, a hazard light switch, a fully digital instrument cluster, 17-inch alloy wheels, and dual-channel ABS.
In the BS4 era, the 650NK was offered in one variant only, which was available at a price tag of Rs. 3,99,000, making it the most affordable big bike. However, with the BS6 update, the prices are expected to be slightly increased. Once launched, it will continue to rival the likes of Kawasaki Z650, Triumph Trident 660, and the Honda CB650R.
Besides the BS6 650NK, the brand will also launch the updated versions of 650MT adventure and 650GT sports-tourer in India.
