Honda Announced Voluntary Recall For Its Multiple Models Including Amaze, City, And Civic

Honda Cars India has announced a voluntary recall for 77,954 units of its multiple models over a possible fault in the fuel pump assembly. The fuel pump installed in these cars may contain defective impellers, which could, over time, result in the engine stopping or not starting at all. Surprisingly, almost all Honda models except for the 5th-gen City and Accord have been affected by the recall campaign. Here's take a look at the affected model's list with their production period: –

It is important to note that the units manufactured before or after the above-mentioned production time period are not affected by the suspected fuel pump issue. 

Honda will soon start contacting dealers of affected units and the replacement will be carried out free of cost at authorized Honda service centres across India in a phased manner starting from 17th April 2021. Meanwhile, the brand contacts the customers individually, customers can also check whether their cars are covered under this recall campaign by submitting their 17-character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on Honda’s official website.
