BMW 3 Series M340i xDrive: Does it look different?

The M340i variant looks similar to the regular 330i trims except for the slightly tweaked grille, and bumpers. It also gets side skirts, a boot lid spoiler, trapezoidal exhaust, and 18-inch M light-alloy wheels as standard, which further can be upgraded to 19-inches units.

The cabin layout of the new M340i is also identical to the standard variants, albeit it flaunts an all-black scheme with the 'Aluminium Tetragon' finish on the dashboard. It also gets an M Sport steering wheel, M seats, and aluminum pedals.

BMW has offered the M340i in three exterior color options – Sunset Orange, Dravit Grey Metallic, and Tanzanite Blue. The brand is also offering three accessories packages with the M340i that includes Enthusiast, Racer, and Motorsport Packages.

BMW 3 Series M340i xDrive: Powertrain

Being a sportier version of the 3 Series, the new M340i not only gets a visually sporty appearance but also offers a lot more excitement for the extra buck. The M340i is powered by a 3.0-liter, in-line, six-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine (instead of regular models 2.0L 4-cylinder motor) that churns out 387PS and 500Nm of torque. Being an xDrive trim, the power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox.

Competitors

In the Indian market, the BMW M340i xDrive rivals the likes of the Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe (Rs 80.17 lakh) and the upcoming facelifted Audi S5 Sportback.
