Renault Triber To Get Some Additional Features And Dual-Tone Colors

Renault is all set to give the Triber a much-needed update. Recently, some images related to the updated Triber have been leaked online, revealing that the subcompact MPV will receive a total of six new features including the dual-tone paint schemes.

New Renault Triber

For beginners, the 2021 Renault Triber will get a new Brown color shade that will replace the existing Fiery Red paint scheme. It will continue to get the Moonlight Silver, Electric Blue, Cool White, Zanskar Blue, and Outback Bronze shades options. All these colors now can also be had with contrast black colored roof & ORVMs, but these dual-tone colors options will be limited to only the top-spec RXZ variant.

Renault Triber features

Besides the updated ivories, the Renault sub-4m cross MPV will also get LED turn indicators on the outside mirrors (ORVMs) and a dual-horn setup. On the inside, it will get a height-adjustable driver's seat and multifunction steering wheel, which are the most sensible addition. Apart from this, most of the features will be carried forward from the existing model that mainly includes projector headlamps, LED DRLs, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay smartphone connectivity, LED instrument cluster, dual-glove box setup, cooled box in the center console, removable seats in the third row, four airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with camera, etc.

Mechanically, the Renault Triber will remain unchanged. It will continue to draw its power from the 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that churns out 72PS and 96Nm. Gearbox choices will include a 5-speed manual and AMT units as the existing model. We were expecting Renault to offer the Kiger’s 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with the MPV, but the French maker doesn't seem to be in the mood right now.

Courtesy of these additions, the Triber could get a significant price hike over the existing model, which is priced between Rs 5.20 lakh and Rs 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). In the Indian market, Datsun GO+ is the only direct rival of the Renault Triber. However, as per its prices, it also takes on biggies like the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and Ford Figo.
