Classic 350 Rival Benelli Imperiale 400 Just Got Cheaper

While all companies are increasing the prices of their products, Italian bike manufacturer Benelli has slashed the asking rates of its Classic 350 & H'Ness CB350 rival Imperiale 400 by Rs 10,000. It is now priced at Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, the price is uniform across all three color options: silver, red and black. The bikemaker cited the increased localization and stronger Rupee value against the Dollar as the reason for the price decrease.

Besides the price revision, no mechanical or cosmetic changes have been made to the Benelli Imperiale 400. It will continue to utilize the 374cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, air-cooled SI motor that produces 21PS of grunt and 29Nm of twist. It comes with a 5-speed gearbox.

Underpinnings of the bike comprise a steel-double cradle frame suspended on 41mm telescopic forks at the front and a dual shock absorber setup at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 300mm front disc and 240mm rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle rolls on 19-inch front & 18-inch rear spoke wheels wrapped with tube-type tires.

The key features of the Imperiale 400 include a round halogen headlamp, bulb-type tail lamp & turn indicators, a twin-pod instrument console with a digital insert for the fuel gauge & odometer, a peashooter-type exhaust, and split seats, etc. Recently, Benelli has also launched a retro limited-run edition of the Imperiale 400 in Thailand, which featured a smoked fly-screen and fork gaiters. Expect Benelli to introduce a similar set of accessories in India as well.

Being a retro cruiser motorcycle, the Imperiale 400 locks horn with Royal Enfield Classic 350 (Rs 1.61 – Rs 1.86 lakh), Honda H'Ness CB350 (Rs 1.86 – 1.92 lakh), and standard Jawa (Rs 1.77 – 1.86 lakh).
