BS6 Benelli TRK 502 Launched At Rs 4.8 lakh

Italian manufacturer Benelli has launched the BS6 iteration of the TRK 502 adventurer tourer motorcycle in India at an introductory price of Rs. 4.80 lakh. Interestingly, it is approximately Rs 30,000 cheaper than its BS4 predecessor.

Compared to the older model, the updated TRK 502 has received some significant updates and a more environment friendly engine. For beginners, the BS6 TRK 502 gets new aluminum-frame knuckle guards, a powder-coated handlebar, larger rearview mirrors with a new textured finish, and a revised top rack.

To further increase the riding experience, the updated adventurer machine also sports a slightly wider seat with better cushioning and white backlighting for the switchgear & speedometer with an orange back-lit for the rider's display. Besides this, the front mudguard now has been finished in the body-color shade instead of the black finish like the previous model.

BS6 Benelli TRK 502 – Engine

The BS6 TRK 502 is powered by the same 499.6cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that makes out the identical figures of 47.5PS at 8500rpm and 46Nm of peak torque at 6000rpm as the old model. It also retains the same 6-speed transmission as before.

Underpinnings

The underpinnings of the motorcycles remain unchanged. It continues to roll on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 120/70-section front and 160/60-section rear road-biased tires, supported by chunky USD forks at the front and a monoshock (rebound and preload-adjustable) at the rear. The braking setup comprises twin 320mm discs up front and a single 260mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS as standard.

Warranty

The TRK 502 adventurer comes with a 3-year/unlimited km warranty.

Rivals

As far as competition is concerned, the BS6 TRK 502 does not have any direct opponent. However, the KTM 390 Adventure (Rs 3.10 lakh), Kawasaki Versys 650 (Rs 6.79 lakh), and the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT (Rs 8.84 lakh) could be considered its closest rivals.
