Honda Hornet 2.0 And Dio Repsol Editions Launched In India

To celebrate its 800 Grand Prix victories Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the Repsol Editions of the Hornet 2.0 motorcycle and Dio scooter in India. It's the first time when Honda has introduced the Repsol MotoGP livery scooter in our country. Earlier, we’ve seen Honda Unicorn and the Honda CBR250R in MotoGP avatar. 

Here's how much you have to spend on these Editions: –

The price addition for both editions is approximately Rs 2,000 – Rs 2,500 when compared to their respective top-spec regular trims. 

Both these Editions get Repsol Honda racing-inspired graphics and paint scheme along with orange painted rims. It is clear that the brand is striving to entice younger audience. 

Honda Hornet 2.0 special edition

Apart from these added graphics, no mechanical changes have been made. It means both two-wheelers are powered by the same engine and underpins the same components as their regular models. The Hornet 2.0 Repsol Edition comes with a BS6-compliant 184cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected petrol engine producing 17.23PS at 8500rpm & 16.1Nm at 6000rpm. It features dual petal disc brakes with single-channel ABS, an all-LED lighting system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and 17-inch alloy wheels, etc.

Honda Dio special edition

On the other hand, the Honda Dio is powered by a 109.51cc air-cooled PGM-FI HET engine that develops 7.76PS at 8000rpm and 9Nm at 4750rpm. It gets features like telescopic suspension, the engine starts/stop switch, integrated dual function switch, silent starter, tumble flow, and friction reduction technology, external Fuel Lid, passing switch, side stand indicator with engine cut-off function, drum brakes at both ends with CBS, etc.
