Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Corporate Edition Launched In India

As the festive season is approaching, almost every brand is gearing up to introduce special offers and limited editions to woo customers. A similar attempt has been made by Hyundai, with the launch of the corporate edition of Grand i10 Nios

About Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Corporate Edition

The corporate edition of Nios is based on the Magna variant of the regular offering and thus has been placed between Sportz and Magna variant. It has been launched to provide the buyers with the option of a more feature-rich car by paying less as compared to the popular Sportz variant.

Here is how corporate edition’s pricing fares as compared to the Magna and Sportz variant which happens to sandwich the former:-

Design

On the exterior front, the car gets 15-inch wheels with gunmetal styled wheel caps and “corporate” badging on the tailgate over the Magna variant. Apart from this, the Corporate edition also features an electric folding ORVMs that also get turn indicators.

Features and interiors

The car scores well on features with a 6.85 inches touchscreen infotainment system replacing the 2-DIN audio system. The infotainment system comes with the necessary connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The air purifier is a good addition to the feature list as well. With such environmental degradation, it is not surprising to see the addition of air purifiers in the necessary feature list.  Besides this, the ABAF(Anti Bacteria Anti Fungal) seat is another good touch.

Mechanicals

Under the hood, Nios Corporate edition features the same 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol unit, producing 82 PS power and 114 Nm torque. And the 1.2-liter diesel unit will produce 74 PS power and churning out 190 Nm torque. The 1.2-litre petrol engine is available with both manual and AMT options while the 1.2-litre diesel engine only gets the manual transmission.

Author’s Take

The Corporate edition seems like the just perfect addition to the Nios lineup. Not only it fills the price void between the Magna and Sportz variant, but it will also attract the buyers to drive the feature-rich variant home by paying a minimal premium of Rs 19,000 over Magna. All the additions over Magna more than justify the price tag and frankly, they sound like a steal of a deal to me, especially if you have made up your mind to go for the Nios.
