Ducati Planning To Launch Three Bikes In India By The End of 2020

The prominent two-wheeler global manufacturer, Ducati is planning to shift gears, as far as market participation in the India is concerned. Ducati is planning to introduce BS6 compliant version of three motorcycles by the end of this calendar year.

BS6 Ducati Panigale V2

Which will be those three BS6 Ducati bikes in India?

The Panigale V2 will be the first BS6 compliant Ducati to go on sale in India and can be expected to hit the dealerships by the end of August. Following the Panigale V2, the next launch will be from the Multistrada family and can be expected to be launched in October this year. Though there is no confirmation regarding the model that will be launched, it can belong to the 950cc range.

The 950 is more likely to arrive in India in October but it remains to be seen if it will be a standard Multistrada 950 or the electronic suspension equipped 950 S. The prices are expected to brush a 13 Lakhs+ price tag.

BS6 Ducati Scrambler 800 Range

After the introduction of Multistrada, Ducati plans to launch the BS6 compliant version of the Scrambler 800 range by the end of 2020. It was the highest-selling Ducati in India. The Scrambler received its latest major update in April last year and was being offered with four variants. While the update did introduce important features like cornering ABS, it was also accompanied by a significant price jump.

Other Expected launches

Ducati is also planning to bring the BS6 Scrambler 1100cc to India. The bike is being sold overseas and might just also hit the Indian dealerships despite a below-par sales record of its BS4 version.

The bigger Multistrada V4 can additionally be expected to be launched in India by the next year provided that Ducati tunes its engine in time to comply with BS6 emission norms.
