MG Hector Plus Launched In India, Prices Starts From Rs. 13.49 Lakh

MG Hector Plus has launched in India at an introductory price of Rs. 13.49 lakh. Hector Plus is a 3-row iteration (6-seater version) of Hector SUV. It is available in four variants: Style, Super, Smart & Sharp. Their prices are as follows: –

Note: These prices are only introductory. Prices will go up by Rs. 50,000 post 13 august. 

As it is clear from the table, hector plus comes with the same engine option as the regular 5-seater model.  The 2.0-liter diesel engine is available with all four variants. However, it is only available with the 6-manual gearbox. It still misses an automatic gearbox option. The 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine with a combination of 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox is offered with style, smart & sharp variants. One can also opt this petrol motor with 48V mild-hybrid system coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox only, that to be with top-spec Sharp variant only.

MG Hector Plus: Design 

The MG Hector Plus has received some cosmetics updates over the regular model. Company has given it a new grill with a redesigned lighting system. MG has also made some design tweaks on the bumpers as well. Due to all these changes, the Hector Plus is 93mm longer than the 5-seater version.

Inside the cabin, It gets a 6-seating configuration, featuring two captains seats in the middle row with sliding & recline function.

In terms of features, the hector plus gets all the goodies offered on the 5-seater hector. It includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen vertical infotainment system with e-Sim connected car technology, apple carplay & android auto connectivity, voice assistant, 7-inch digital MID, automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, rear AC vents, power-adjustable driver seat, multi-colored ambient lighting, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), power tailgate, etc.  Additionally, it also gets a swipe-to-open boot feature. It means to open the boot one just have to wave his/her foot below the rear bumper.

The company has also given it a new leatherette upholstery.  MG has also given an additional AC vent in 3rd row with blower control along with a USB charging port & cup holders. 

On the safety front, MG hector plus offers 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist (BA), traction control, tire pressure monitoring system, 360-degree parking camera, hill hold assist,  front and rear parking sensors,  heated orvm and an automatic headlamps function. 

Colour Options

The Hector Plus comes with 6 different color scheme options – Candy White, Aurora Silver, Starry Sky blue, Glaze Red, Burgundy Red, and Starry Black.

Rivals

In the mid-size SUV segment, Hector Plus will compete with Mahindra XUV500, Jeep Compass and upcoming Tata Gravitas. As per the price range, we can also consider its competition with Toyota Innova Crysta MPV.
