2025 Volvo XC90 Facelift Launched In India At Rs 1.03 Crore

The 2025 Volvo XC90 Facelift has finally hit the Indian shores at an introductory price of Rs 1.03 crore (ex-showroom), making it Rs 2 lakh more expensive than the outgoing model. The SUV has received subtle design changes inside and out.

2025 Volvo XC90 Facelift – What’s New?

  • Being a facelifted model, the new Volvo XC90 features refreshed design. To start with, the SUV now features a tweaked grille with the familiar but more sharper Thor’s Hammer LED DRLs. The bumper has also been redesigned for a cleaner appearance.
  • Things remains largely unchanged from the sides and rear except for the new dual-tone 21-inch alloys and minor changes to the vertical taillights.
  • Volvo offers the XC90 in six colour options: Denim Blue, Vapor Grey, Bright Dusk, Onyx Black, Crystal White and the new Mulbery Red.

  • The 2025 XC90’s interior remains largely unchanged, much like its exterior. The SUV retains its dashboard-mounted speaker, 7-seater layout, and familiar seat design from the pre-facelift model. However, it now features a larger free-standing touchscreen and elongated side AC vents. The steering wheel gets a subtle redesign with a gloss-black element on the lower spoke. The other notable features include: –

    • A 12.3-inch driver’s display
    • A 19-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system
    • Four-zone auto AC with AC vents for 2nd and 3rd row passengers

    • Heads-up display (HUD)
    • Panoramic sunroof
    • Multiple airbags
    • Hill start & hill descent control
    • Electronic parking brake
    • 360-degree camera
    • Front, side & rear parking sensors
    • Auto park assist
    • Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite with features such as lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control

What’s Underneath the Hood?

Powering the 2025 Volvo XC90 is the same 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine as the pre-faceift model, which benefits from a 48V mild-hybrid tech. It makes 250PS of max power and 360Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, powering all four wheels of the car via an AWD system.

The Volvo XC90 continues to take on the likes of BMW X5, Audi Q7, Lexus RX and the Mercedes-Benz GLE.
