The 2025 Renault Triber facelift was recently launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 6.29 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it the country’s most affordable 7-seater MPV and a viable alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, which is one of the country’s highest-selling MPVs. So, here we have compared both the Renault Triber and Maruti Ertiga to help you make an informed decision.
2025 Renault Triber vs Maruti Ertiga: Dimensions

| Width | 1935mm (with ORVMs), 1734mm (w/o ORVMs) | 1735mm |
| Height | 1643mm (w/o roof rails) | 1690mm |
| Wheelbase | 2636mm | 2740mm |
| Ground Clearance | 182mm | 185mm |
| Seating Capacity | 7 seater (can be converted into a 5 seater as well by removing the rear row seats) | 7 seater |
| Boot Space | 625 litres (when the 3rd row is removed) | 209 litres (all seats up) up to 550 litres (when 3rd seats are folded down) |
- While both the Triber and Ertiga are positioned as 7-seater MPVs, their dimensions clearly highlight their positioning in different segments.
- The Ertiga is longer and taller than the Triber, providing it a more substantial road presence and a roomier cabin.
- The Renault Triber’s modular seating is a strong point. The last row of the MPV can be completely removed, offering 625 litres of boot space. This makes it highly versatile for those who often alternate between people and cargo.
- On the other hand, the Ertiga offers up to 550 litres with the 3rd row folded, but only 209 litres when all seats are up, which is just about enough for a few small bags.

- The Ertiga clearly hold the edge with its bigger displacement engine, which is known for its refinement and low maintenance. Its power and torque figures (103PS/139Nm) are significantly higher than the Triber’s 3-cylinder 1-litre engine (72PS/96Nm). This translates to a more effortless drive, especially when the vehicle is fully loaded or on highways.
- The Ertiga also offers more flexibility with a proper 6-speed torque converter automatic, which ensures smoother gear shifts and better drivability than the Triber’s 5-speed AMT.
Note: Both the MPVs are also available with a CNG kit. While the Triber gets a dealer-fitted CNG kit option, the Ertiga comes with a safer, factory-fitted CNG unit.
