2024 Nissan X-Trail Bookings Open Officially; Launch On Aug 1

The fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail is all set to hit the Indian shores on August 1 via the CBU route. Those interested in bringing one home now can book the SUV online or at an authorised dealership for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.

Sources indicate that Nissan is selling leftover stock of the base-spec X-Trail from some global markets. These models have been slightly upgraded for the Indian market to include features like bigger 20-inch alloys and panoramic sunroof. However, it skips the leatherette seats, larger infotainment and strong-hybrid system offered in its global counterpart.

The company will offer it in three colour schemes: Pearl White, Champagne Silver and Diamond Black.

Underneath the hood, the Indian-spec Nissan X-Trail will house a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine (163PS/300Nm), paired with a 12V mild-hybrid system. The power will be sent to the front wheels via a CVT automatic gearbox.

Nissan is expected to price the X-Trail around Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, it will face competition from the Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian and MG Gloster.
