2023 Tata Nexon Facelift Could Get ADAS

Tata Motors is working on a facelift version of the Nexon that was recently spied testing on public roads. While it’s not official, its launch could take place later this year, probably around the festive seasons. The latest reports suggest that it could benefit from ADAS technology. If this happens, the Nexon will become the brand’s third model to get such a feature.

For those who aren’t aware, the flagship SUVs from Tata, ie., the Harrier and Safari were recently updated with ADAS. Having said that, this driving assistance suite gets features like forward collision warning, lane change alert, high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, door open alert, rear cross-traffic alert, rear collision warning, and autonomous emergency braking. It misses out on adaptive cruise control.

Reports also suggest that Nexon will receive a new two-spoke steering wheel, which was displayed in the Tata Curvv concept. Besides, there will be tons of other cosmetical changes, including a new front grille, updated bumpers, new alloys and probably a new lighting system.

Underneath the bonnet, the Tata Nexon Facelift is likely to get the brand’s new & more powerful 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine (125PS/225Nm) that was unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo. It could also receive a CNG powertrain option. Besides, the ongoing 1.5-litre diesel engine will continue to be on offer.

Tata Nexon DCT Automatic

Expect the 2023 facelifted Tata Nexon to command a significant premium over its existing model which ranges between Rs 7.80 – 14.35 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will continue to lock horns with the likes of the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Honda WR-V.
