Petrol Engine On The Cards

Beneath the bonnet, the facelifted Tata Harrier and Safari are likely to come with a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, likely to be rated at 170PS and 280Nm. We expect it to be offered with both 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT automatic transmissions.

Besides, Tata will continue to offer the existing 170PS/350Nm 2-litre turbocharged diesel engine that can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Prices To Go Up

Considering all the changes, both SUVs will undoubtedly command a significant price premium over their existing models. For reference, the Tata Harrier currently retails between Rs 15.20 – 24.27 lakh, while the Tata Safari costs between Rs 15.85 – 25.21 lakh.

All prices ex-showroom.
