2023 Tata Harrier and Safari Facelift Teased; Bookings Start From Oct 6

Tata Motors has teased the facelifted versions of the Harrier and Safari SUVs ahead of their launch in the coming weeks. The carmaker has also revealed that their bookings will commence on October 6, 2023.

2023 Tata Harrier and Safari Facelift – What To Expect?

  • Going by the latest teasers, the facelifted Tata Harrier and Safari will flaunt significant design changes.
  • Their front profiles will boast refreshed design components seen on the facelifted Nexon EV.

  • Both the SUVs will feature new Nexon EV-like width-spanning LED DRL stip with a welcoming function. Below that, there will be a new, bolder-looking grille with colour-contrast stud elements.
  • The upgraded SUVs will also get a revised front bumper with a vertically oriented split LED headlamp setup.
  • Both SUVs will also recieve a new copper-brown colour paint scheme.

  • While the side and rear profiles are yet to be seen, they are expected to get redesigned alloy wheels, revised tailgate and new connected LED taillights.
  • Inside, the 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari facelift duo will feature a revamped dashboard design, along with a new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, a new touch-based climate control system, a new gear lever, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch full digital driver’s display.
  • Features, like powered front seats with ventilation function, wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, connected car tech, 36-degree camera, six airbags, ESC and the ADAS suite, will be carried forward from the ongoing model.

Petrol Engine On The Cards

Beneath the bonnet, the facelifted Tata Harrier and Safari are likely to come with a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, likely to be rated at 170PS and 280Nm. We expect it to be offered with both 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT automatic transmissions.

Besides, Tata will continue to offer the existing 170PS/350Nm 2-litre turbocharged diesel engine that can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Prices To Go Up

Considering all the changes, both SUVs will undoubtedly command a significant price premium over their existing models. For reference, the Tata Harrier currently retails between Rs 15.20 – 24.27 lakh, while the Tata Safari costs between Rs 15.85 – 25.21 lakh.
