The new-generation Hyundai Verna is due to be launched on March 21, 2023. But ahead of its official debut, we get to see at the upcoming model’s exterior styling in these official design sketches.
In its 6th-generation avatar, the Hyundai Verna flaunts the brand’s latest design language called “Parametric Dynamics”. Dominating the front facia of the sedan is a parametric jewel grille flanked by sharply designed three-pod LED headlamps. The sedan also receives a new thin LED light strip just below the bonnet, giving it a very futuristic appearance.
From the profile, the 2023 Hyundai Verna looks quite bigger and more streamlined than the outgoing model. Furthermore, its creases & chiselled body panels, slopping roofline and massive alloy wheels add a very sporty and future-proof feel to its design.
The complete rear design of the car is yet to revealed; however, the carmaker has already confirmed the presence of a connected LED taillight and a small spoiler lip on the boot lid.
The 2023 Hyundai Verna will be a more premium offering from the outgoing model, with niceties such as a floating touchscreen display, a digital driver’s display, a premium sound system, 360-degree camera. powered front seats, and ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), which is already seen on the Hyundai Tucson SUV. Besides, features like ventilated front seats, auto climate control, rear AC vents, wireless smartphone charger, electric sunroof, automatic headlamps etc., will be retained from the outgoing model.
Engine and Gearbox
As part of the next-generation update, the upgraded sedan will no longer use a diesel motor. Instead, there will be two petrol engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated, paired with either a manual or a CVT automatic, and a 1.4-litre turbocharged mill with manual and DCT transmission options.
Variants, Bookings and Expected Price
Hyundai will offer the new Verna in four trim levels: EX, S, SX and SX (O). Their bookings have already been commenced and we expect the sedan to be retailed from around Rs 10 lakh onwards (ex-showroom).
