2023 Hyundai Venue Launched With New Diesel Engine; Prices Increased

Hyundai India has updated its Venue sub-4m SUV for 2023. The MY2023 Venue brings in a couple of changes including a more powerful diesel engine and a revised features list. Also, you’ll have to shell out up to Rs 25,000 more for it.

New Diesel Engine

The biggest change for the Hyundai Venue comes in the form of a more powerful 1.5-litre diesel engine with a Variable-Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) that makes 115PS of max power and 250Nm of peak torque, that’s 16PS and 10Nm more than its older 1.5-litre Fixed-Geometry Turbocharger (FGT) diesel engine. Transmission option; however, remains unchanged. The oil burner will resume getting a 6-speed manual gearbox. Besides, the 120PS 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (mated to either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT) and 83PS 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol (with a 5-speed manual) engines continue on offer.

Redrafted Features List

Now, let’s find out more about what has changed in the features department: –

Hyundai Venue Interior
  • Side airbags are now available from the mid-spec S (O) variant onwards. Hyundai Venue N-Line’s N6 variant also benefits from this feature.
  • The rear seat recliner and cup holders, previously available on the diesel SX variant, are now reserved for the top-spec diesel SX(O) only.
