2023 Hyundai i20 N Line Facelift – What’s New?
Similar to the regular Hyundai i20, its performance-oriented N Line version also receives some minor cosmetic changes and a new manual gearbox replacing the clutchless manual iMT unit.
- Starting with the styling changes, the refreshed i20 N Line receives new LED headlamps and 16-inch alloy wheels.
- While the design of the front bumper & grille remains unchanged, the rear bumper has been slightly revamped for a refreshed appeal.
- Hyundai has also introduced a new Abyss Black colour scheme for the upgraded i20 N Line. With this, it is now offered in 5 monotones and 2 dual-tone colour options.
- Inside, it continues to get an all-black theme with splashes of red accent, red ambient lighting, metal finish pedals, and an N Line-specific steering wheel & gear lever for added sportiness.
- When it comes to features, the facelifted i20 N Line gets the same set of equipment as the standard i20. Some notable inclusion includes automatic headlamps, a type-C charger (new), a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BlueLink connected car technology, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-speaker Bose sound system, digital instrument cluster, automatic AC with rear AC vents, electric sunroof, wireless smartphone charger, cruise control, air purifier, keyless entry with push-button start.
- For safety, it receives 6 airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, all-wheel disc brakes, hill start assist, tyre pressure monitor, and rear parking sensors with camera.
Like the outgoing version, the facelifted i20 N-Line continues with a sportier suspension setup, rear disc brakes and a sportier exhaust note over its regular version.

Engine and Transmission
Powering the updated Hyundai i20 N Line is the same 1-litre turbocharged petrol engine as its previous version that churns out 120PS and 172Nm. However, it now receives a new 6-speed conventional manual gearbox, replacing the 6-speed clutchless intelligent manual transmission (iMT). On the other hand, the automatic option is still the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
Rivals
The i20 N Line doesn’t have any direct rival in the Indian market. Nevertheless, the Tata Altroz iTurbo could be considered as its affordable alternative.
