2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and NS200 Launched With These New Features

Bajaj Auto has finally launched the 2023 iterations of the Pulsar NS160 and NS200. They have been priced at Rs 1,34,675 and Rs 1,47,347 (both prices, ex-showroom), respectively.

Let’s take a quick look at what they now offer: –

  • The biggest highlight of the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and NS200 is the introduction of the new 33mm upside-down forks (USD) upfront that will offer more stability and a better cornering experience when compared to the previous telescopic forks.
  • Bajaj has also offered new circular discs and Grimeca callipers instead of the earlier petal disc brakes and Bybre callipers.
  • The front disc size has also grown from 260mm to 300mm.
  • Both bikes now also benefit from the dual-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS).

  • To further enhance the overall riding experience, Bajaj has also updated the semi-digital instrument cluster of these bikes. They are now equipped with distance to empty, real-time fuel efficiency and a gear position indicator. However, its design remains unchanged.
  • The upgraded bikes are now also equipped with lighter-weight 17-inch alloy wheels, shod with slightly wider 100/80 and 130/70 section MRF Nylogrip Zapper tyres at the front and rear, respectively.
  • Mechanically, both bikes remain unchanged. However, they have now been updated to comply with the upcoming BS6 Phase-2 emission norms. Having said that, both bikes will now come with an onboard OBD 2 port.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200

What do power the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and NS200?

Powering the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is a 160.3cc, single-cylinder, triple spark, fuel-injected engine that makes 17.2PS and 14.6Nm, whereas the bigger NS200 uses the 199cc, liquid-cooled engine dishing out 24.5PS and 18.5Nm.

Rivals

  • In the sub-160cc segment, the Pulsar NS160 locks horns with the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZ-S V4, Suzuki Gixxer, and Hero Xtreme 160R.
  • The Pulsar NS200 goes up against the Honda Hornet 2.0 and the TVS Apache 200.
