2022 Range Rover Launched In India; Prices Start From Rs 2.32 Crore

Highlights: – 

  • Interested customers can now book the luxurious SUV either online or offline with prices starting from Rs 2.32 crore (ex-showroom).
  • The 2022 Range Rover has been offered in three broad trims: SE, HSE, and Autobiography.
  • A First Edition model will also be available in the first year of production.
  • Two wheelbase (standard and long) and three seating (5-, 6-, and 7) options are on offer.
  • Available in three powertrains- 3.0-litre diesel, 3.0-litre petrol, and new 4.4-litre petrol.
  • 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.
  • A pure-electric Range Rover will join the line-up in 2024.

The Land Rover has launched the fifth-generation Range Rover in India at a starting price of Rs 2.32 crore (ex-showroom). It will be available in three variants: SE, HSE, and Autobiography. A First Edition variant (based on the Autobiography trim) will also be available throughout the first year of production. Their variant-wise prices will be revealed at a later stage.

2022 Range Rover – What’s New?

The new Range Rover features a neater design, incredible technology, and a significant overhaul in the luxury quotient. Developed on the new MLA-Flex platform, it looks largely similar to its predecessor. However, it gets a revised front grille, sharper LED headlamps, a new bumper with a rectangular air intake, and a lot smoother side profile with flush-fitting door handles and more friable shoulder lines. At the rear, it gets vertically stacked connected LED tail lamps, increasing the overall premium-ness of the SUV. 

Land Rover has offered the new Range Rover in two wheelbase options: standard and long, and three seating configurations: 5-, 6-, and 7-seater.

Interior and Key Features

Inside, the 2022 Range Rover comes fitted with a floating 13.1-inch curved touchscreen Pivi Pro infotainment system with a minimalist frame design. There’s also the Land Rover’s latest digital driver’s display and a new steering wheel.

The company claims that it is the most desirable Range Rover yet, combining sensational modernity and aesthetic classiness with technological refinement and seamless connectivity. That said, the flagship SUV puffs an exceptional range of features such as high-definition Digital LED headlights, third-generation Active Noise Cancellation system, PM2.5 filtration and dual-nanoeTM X technology for cabin air purification, Alexa-connected car tech, 1600W 35-speaker Meridian sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four-zone climate control, Qi wireless smartphone charger, adaptive LED headlamps, 11.4-inches of rear entertainment screens, an 8-inch rear-seat touchscreen controller, six driving modes, terrain response system, multiple airbags, and much more. 

The luxurious SUV also has all-wheel steering, active anti-roll bars, and electronically adjustable air suspensions with Chassis Control and Dynamic Response Pro system that uses eHorizon Navigation data to read the road ahead and prime the suspension to provide perfect responses.

Powertrain

The all-new Range Rover gets three powertrain options: 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol (400PS/550Nm) and diesel (350PS/700Nm) engines, paired with 48V mild-hybrid system for torque assist and improved fuel economy, and a BMW-sourced 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol mill delivering a huge power of 530PS and torque of 750Nm.
