2022 Maruti WagonR – All You Need To Know About

Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the 2022 WagonR with a slew of changes and new powertrain options. Here’s a detailed look at the same:

2022 Maruti WagonR – What’s New?

Exterior: – The upgraded WagonR doesn’t bring any substantial design and cosmetical changes except for the introduction of the new 15-inch blacked-out alloy wheels, and two dual-tone paint options for the top-spec ZXI+ trim: Galant Red with black roof and Magma Grey with black roof.

Interior and features: – While the cabin design of the upgraded WagonR remains completely unchanged, it gains new dual-tone beige-&-dark grey melange fabric seats. Besides, the brand has also equipped the compact hatch with four speakers (earlier offered with two) and a hill hold assist system (for AMT variants only).

Engine Options: – The biggest update lies underneath the bonnet. That said, Maruti Suzuki has offered the 2022 WagonR with new 1.0-liter and 1.2-litre DualJet DualVVT petrol engines, borrowed from the new-gen Celerio and facelifted Baleno, respectively. Both the power mills get an idle start-stop system as standard. Besides, the 1.0-litre unit is also available with an optional factory-fitted CNG kit, albeit without the starter-generator system.

Here’s a look at their detailed specifications: –

On the other hand, the 1.0-liter petrol delivers 1PS less than the earlier version, but up to 4kmpl better mileage. For the CNG powertrain, the power has been reduced by 2PS.
