The MY22 Kawasaki KLX450R is powered by a 449cc, single-cylinder, big-bore 4-stroke liquid-cooled engine that has been tuned to deliver more low-end torque. However, the performance numbers aren’t known yet. The engine features double valve springs and a low-friction coating on piston skirts.

Built on a lightweight aluminium perimeter frame, the KLX450R weighs just 126kg and offers exceptional control. It is 2,175mm long and has a ground clearance of 315mm and a seat height of 935mm. The suspension setup of the bike includes a pair of 48 mm upside-down front forks (305mm travel) with compression & rebound adjustability and a rear monoshock (315mm travel) that can also be adjusted for pre-load, rebound, and compression. 250mm front and 240mm rear petal disc brakes do their duty to bring the motorcycle to the halt.

In terms of features, the KLX450R gets an aluminium skid plate, side stand, Renthal aluminium fatbar, lightweight digital instrumentation cluster, and ultra-compact tail lamp cluster.

A few months ago, the bikemaker had also brought the MY2022 KX250 and KX450 bikes to our shores.
