2021 TVS Apache RR 310 Gets Dearer By Rs 2,000

TVS Motor Company has once again revised the prices of its flagship Apache RR 310 motorcycle. It now costs Rs 2,49,990 (ex-showroom), which is approximately Rs 2,000 more than before. It’s the third time when the bike has received a price hike since its launch in January 2020. Earlier, the company had updated its prices last month only.

The price hike does not attract any kind of mechanical or cosmetical changes to the bike. The 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 continues to use the same BS6-compliant 312.2cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that churns out 34PS of power and 27.3Nm of peak torque. The motor comes paired with a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch. It also gets four riding modes – Rain, Urban, Sport, and Track. According to the mode selection, the engine runs on two different power maps. The first power map limits the engine output to 28.5PS & 25Nm and it is used for Rain and Urban modes. The second map is for Sport and Track modes which unleash the power restriction and allows you to enjoy the full performance.

In terms of features, the TVS Apache RR 310 continues to get the same set of equipment, which mainly includes a Glide Through Technology PLUS (GTTP), hazard switch, and a 5-inch full-color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. It allows the rider to connect their smartphone to the bike and access multiple functions like turn-by-turn navigation, incoming caller's details, accept and reject the call, etc. It also shows post-ride analytics, gear shift assists indicator, vehicle health information, and vehicle status.

As far as the underpinnings is concerned, the TVS Apache RR 310 uses an upside front fork and a KYB-tuned rear monoshock. It rides on Michelin Road 5 W-rated tyres and a 300mm front petal disc with radial caliper & a 240mm rear petal disc with dual-channel ABS bring the bike to halt.

In the Indian market, the 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 lock horns with KTM RC 390, which is priced at Rs 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
