2021 Tata Tiago NRG – Variant, Specifications And Features Details Leaked

Tata Motors is all set to launch the facelifted Tiago NRG on August 4. Select dealerships have also commenced its unofficial bookings for a token amount of Rs 11,000. Now, we got more information about the upcoming crossover. So, without wasting much time, let's head to its specifications first: –

Compared to the standard Tiago, its more rugged NRG version is 37mm longer thanks to the extended front & rear bumper, featuring blacked-out cladding and skid plates. Also, it boasts 11mm more ground clearance which will help you better in taking road hindrances. 

2021 Tata Tiago NRG – Engine Specifications

Similar to the standard Tiago hatchback, the Tiago NRG will also be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine, putting out 86PS and 113Nm. It will continue to be available with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. 

2021 Tata Tiago NRG – Variant & Features

The Tiago NRG is expected to be available in only one variant that will be based on the ZX trim of the Tiago. That said, it will be quite features loaded. It will get a new blacked-out tri-arrow front grille, newly designed headlamps, updated 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, non-functional roof rails, plastic cladding and a silver faux skid plate on both bumpers, black element connecting the tail lamps, boot integrated spoiler, and blacked-out finishing on ORVMs, C-pillar, and roof. A new Camo Green colour is also on the list.

Inside the cabin, it flaunts an all-black theme with piano-black accents on the steering wheel and around the head unit. Features on-board will include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as USB connectivity support, 4-speakers + tweeters, flat-bottom steering wheel with audio & telephony controls, digital instrument cluster with a 2.5-inch MID, manual air-conditioning system, keyless entry, push-button start/stop (misses out in standard Tiago), manually adjustable day/night IRVM, height-adjustable driver's seat, power-folding ORVM, cooled glove box, tilt adjustment function for the steering wheel, rear parcel tray, fabric upholstery, rear defogger along with rear wiper & washer, etc. 

Passenger's safety will be governed by dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, high-speed alert system, front seatbelts with pretensioners & force limiters, corner stability control, rear parking sensors with camera. 

Compared to the regular model of Tiago, the NRG will miss out on the power adjustment function for ORVMs and automatic climate control.

2021 Tata Tiago NRG – Expected Pricing

The updated Tata Tiago NRG is likely to hold a premium of around Rs 30,000 over the Tiago hatchback, which retails from Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 6.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will battle it out with the Maruti Celerio X.
