2021 Suzuki Hayabusa First Batch Sold Out, Next Batch Will Arrive By Mid-2021

Suzuki Motorcycle India has recently launched the 2021 Hayabusa in our market, and the iconic Dhoom bike got such a huge response from the Indian buyers that the first batch of 101 units ran out of stock in less than 24 hours. The special white colour version was the first to fly off the shelf. For the people not in know, Suzuki offered the new Hayabusa in three colour schemes – Metallic Matt Sword Silver/Candy Daring Red, Glass Sparkle Black/Candy Burnt Gold and Pearl Brilliant White/Metallic Matt Stellar Blue. These first 101 bookings will get a complementary pillion cowl accessory.

Potential buyers who missed the deal will have to wait until August 2021 for the next batch to arrive.

The reason for this overwhelming response can be attributed to the reputation of the Hayabusa in our country as well as its attractive pricing. Rated at Rs 16.40 lakh (ex-showroom), the all-new Hayabusa was just Rs 2.65 lakh costlier than the previous-gen model. And for this price premium, the upgraded superbike offered an improved aerodynamic design, BS6-compliant engine with enhanced performance and a plethora of electronic riding aids that made it more rider-friendly. These mainly include 3-level engine brake control, launch control, 10-level traction control, 10-level wheelie control, a six-axis IMU, ride by wire technology and Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) that allows the rider to choose between six various riding modes.

The Japanese superbike obtains its power from EU5/BS6 emission norms-compliant 1,340cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled DOHC, inline-4-cylinder motor, churning out 190PS of max grunt at 9,700rpm and a peak torque of 150Nm at 7,000rpm. Compared to it's predecessor, the updated Busa is 10PS less powerful and 5Nm less torquier. However, despite the drop in engine output, it offers better rideability and acceleration. The bike offers a top speed of 299kmph.
