2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 To Get A Semi-Digital Instrument Cluster With Fuel Guage And Tipper Navigation System

The next-generation Royal Enfield Classic 350 is due to arrive in the coming months. But before its launch, we've got some interesting details about the updated RE motorcycles thanks to its spy shots and videos. The latest set of spy images confirms that the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 will get an all-new semi-digital instrument cluster with a fuel gauge and a separate tipper navigation pod similar to the Royal Enfield Meteor 350

New Royal Enfield Classic 350 speedometer

As the above image reveals, the new instrument cluster of Classic 350 will comprise an analogue speedometer that will come with both kmph and mph readings along with warning lights. There is also a small LCD digital screen below, which features an odometer, two trip metres, a fuel gauge, a clock, a service due indicator, an Eco indicator and a fuel efficiency readout. Another noticeable addition is the Tripper navigation pod that shows turn-by-turn feeds when connected to the smartphone via the Royal Enfield mobile application. Besides this, one can also notice a new green colour paint scheme similar to Continental GT 650's British Racing Green ivory.

2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 launch date

The spy shots also give us a glimpse of various new additions such as a different seat & fuel tank, a new single-piece grab rail with backrest, windscreen, updated taillamps, and redesigned exhaust from the Meteor 350. As per the reports, the new Classic 350 will be based on the brand's latest J platform, which also underpins the Meteor 350. It is also expected to get the same 349cc air-cooled counterbalanced motor as the RE's shooting star, paired with a new 5-speed gearbox. This engine produces 20.48PS at 6100rpm and 27Nm at 4000rpm. Compared to the current model, this new unit is 1.18PS more powerful and 1Nm less torquey. However, it is more refined and there are barely any vibrations.

Royal Enfield is yet to reveal the 2021 RE Classic's launch timeline, but it is expected to debut in May this year. It is likely to carry some significant price premium over the current model, which retails between Rs 1.72-1.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will continue to compete against the Honda H’Ness CB350 and Benelli Imperiale 400.
