2021 Renault Triber Launched With Dual-Tone Colours And Enhanced Features

Launched in August 2019, the Triber sub-4-meter MPV is a quite successful product for Renault in the Indian market. Known for its spacious cabin, the Triber had almost all the features it needed, but it lacked some modern set of equipment. Now, to overcome the shortcoming, the manufacturer has given it a much-needed update. Priced between Rs 5.30 lakh and Rs 7.82 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the 2021 Renault Triber attracts a premium of Rs 15,000 over the previous model. Here's the model-wise pricing: –

As the above table indicates, the 2021 Renault Triber gets a dual-tone exterior option for the very first time, featuring a mystery black roof & ORVMs across all color options. However, the dual-tone colors are limited to only the top-spec RXZ variant and it demands additional Rs 17,000 over the monotone trim.

The brand has also offered a new body-color – Cedar Brown, replacing the older Fiery Red paint scheme. Besides this, the 2021 Triber also gets steering wheel mounted audio & phone controls along with a driver seat height adjustment feature and LED turn indicator on outside mirrors (ORVMs).

Renault Triber features

Apart from these added features, the new Triber continues to get the existing set of features, including projector headlamps, LED DRLs, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, LED instrument cluster, dual-glove box, modular seating arrangement, push-button start/stop, auto climate control with rear AC vents, cooled box in the center console, up to four airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, etc.

Under the hood, the 2021 Triber retains the same 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine that is good for 72PS and 96Nm. Gearbox choices include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT units. The 7-seater MPV will also get Kiger’s 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine by the next year.

In the subcompact MPV segment, the Triber is positioned against the Datsun GO+ (Rs 4.25 – 6.99 lakh), which is quite affordable than Renault's offering. It could also be seen as an alternative to mid-size hatchbacks like the Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and the Ford Figo.
