2021 KTM RC 200 Production Starts In Bajaj's Chakan Plant

After launching the updated Duke 125 & Adventure 250, the Austrian bikemaker KTM is now gearing up to introduce the new version of the RC 200 motorcycle in India. Recently, its assembly line images have surfaced online straight from the Bajaj's Chakan plant, suggesting that the launch might be just around the corner.

2021 KTM RC 200

2021 KTM RC 200 – How will it be different from the existing model?

As per the all gathered information, the 2021 KTM RC 200 will be a completely new machine, right from its design, features, and to its chassis, everything has undergone subtle changes. As per the leaked image, KTM has abolished its extremely sharp & dynamic design for the new curvier & simpler looking theory of art. And so, the new RC 200 will feature a new single-piece conventional halogen headlamp, replacing the twin projector lamps of the existing model. The headlamp unit is now surrounded by LED DRLs.

The turn indicators have been shifted to the newly designed front fairing. Earlier, they were situated on the side mirrors mounting. The visor seems to be larger than the ongoing model and the graphics of the bikes are also fresh.

New KTM RC 200 launch date

KTM could also feature a new TFT instrument cluster. Besides this, the 2021 KTM RC 200 is likely to sport a larger front disc brake. The rear end of the bike is expected to remain unchanged.

Ergonomics of the bike, on the other hand, would have also been altered for a comparably relaxed riding position along with more spacious & cushier seats. It could also feature a new sub-frame and newly designed alloy wheels.

KTM is expected to make no major changes to its 199cc, liquid-cooled engine, however, it can be slightly retuned to suit its new character. It will continue to carry the underbelly exhaust system.

Expected Pricing & Launch

The 2021 KTM RC 200 will surely be more pricey than the current model, which retails at Rs 2.01 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The official launch of the bike is most likely to take place in January 2021.
